ORLANDO HUTTON....GRACE UNDER PRESSURE

Love the raw, vintage almost newspaper feel of this Legacy inspired VIBE Magazine shoot depicting the strength and style of "back-in-the-day" civil rights culture. With Obama embarking on a new era....it's funny how things are coming full circle....a welcome change indeed.

Because Vibe is a 'black' publication it is often denied the kudos that it deserves. There is an under-appreciated genius to their spreads that some of more 'popular' publications could really benefit from (not in terms of sales but just doing something a bit more original and not simply recycling ideas and images).

These pictures are great because they evoke a sense of nostalgia from an era that's reminiscent of an old Harlem, which many were not able to experience. Love Red & Vibe. Keep it up!

This is reminiscent of a shoot shot by photographer Marcqui Akins a while back.

Love the feel of it.

Nice shots. I looked up the photographer mentioned and some shots do resemble Akins' shots...great nonetheless.
